Structural Engineer
Structural Engineer *Relocation assistance available Objective The Structural Engineer focuses on supporting complex projects within industrial sectors including Metals, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Power Generation industries, combining remote work with client site visits and field engineering responsibilities. The position can be based out of either Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, PA with relocation assistance available. Responsibilities + Execute field engineering activities including site visits and comprehensive structural inspections related to project scope + Support engineering studies, calculations, detailed design documentation and specifications, project cost estimation, and installation support services + Conduct analytical modeling of structures and structural components using STAAD/RISA 3D software platforms + Review and validate calculations, drawings, and technical reports prepared by fellow structural engineers + Design structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation systems + Develop, maintain, and enhance technical standards and specifications for project-specific applications and centralized design references + Execute all assignments following established design and project execution procedures within the corporate Quality Management System + Deliver technical support to customers and contribute to regional business development efforts as a technical resource + Oversee project advancement in relation to established plans, schedules, and budgets + Contribute to organizational improvements in workflow processes, execution methodologies, and standards enhancement Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution + Minimum 5 years of professional engineering experience + Demonstrated expertise in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation design + Proficiency with STAAD/RISA 3D analytical software or comparable structural analysis tools + Strong communication and interpersonal abilities + Comprehensive understanding of current computer software including design and business enterprise applications + Capability to perform field inspections at elevated heights + Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain licensure; PA PE certification highly desired + Experience in Metals, Midstream Oil & Gas, Refineries & Petrochemical, or Utilities & Power Generation sectors preferred + Inspection experience preferred + Ability to pass post-offer drug and alcohol screening and comply with ongoing random testing requirements System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
