**Job Description**
AECOM Burnaby is seeking a Structural EIT to join our Water Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design and analysis, with a strong technical foundation in engineering principles, structural systems, and software applications. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on complex and meaningful infrastructure projects within the water and wastewater sector.
**Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)**
+ Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of infrastructure projects, with a focus on water and wastewater treatment facilities.
+ Prepare design calculations, technical memorandums, reports, and construction drawings.
+ Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
+ Develop structural models and support detailing using software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD/Revit.
+ Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including Canadian codes and CSA design standards.
+ Support construction phase activities, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and providing technical input during site coordination.
+ Identify design issues and coordinate with senior engineers to support resolution and implementation.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
+ Minimum 2+ years of structural engineering experience (consulting experience preferred).
+ Registered as EIT with EGBC (or actively progressing toward registration).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 4+ years of structural engineering experience (consulting experience preferred).
+ Proficiency with structural design and analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD Pro.
+ Experience with AutoCAD and Revit for structural drafting and coordination.
+ Familiarity with Canadian codes and CSA design standards; knowledge of ACI 350 is considered an asset.
+ Experience in water/wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, or water conveyance structures is an advantage.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, while contributing effectively within a team environment.
**Additional Information**
+ Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $65000 to $95000.
