Structural/Civil Supervisor
Join a dynamic team at the forefront of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) industry! As a Structural/Civil Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction activities for a major LNG project in Mozambique, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Role Overview Inspire safety commitment in Client and all Contractors and Subcontractors teams via deep knowledge of HSE and leadership by example. Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE requirements across works to promote a healthy and safe work environment. Oversee that construction activities are performed as per project requirements and specifications, focusing on construction methods, safety, quality, and schedule. Manage site works executed by the Contractor and their approved Subcontractors in accordance with the Contract Agreement. Gather and validate ‘lessons learnt’ from all project teams and provide feedback. Prepare, coordinate, and monitor construction activities up to sub-system handover to the Commissioning team, maintaining close relationships with the EPC Contractor. Maintain a strong physical presence at Site to demonstrate safety commitment and provide technical oversight. Verify progress reporting of construction activities per discipline. Participate in quality surveillance programs and inspect works as directed in the approved ITPs. Support the development of execution plans, method statements, and other relevant procedures to ensure alignment with project strategies. Assist the Superintendent per discipline in resolving technical issues. Participate in necessary construction planning meetings to ensure smooth resolution of technical issues. Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) projects. Expertise in inspection and civil engineering principles. Proficient in non-manual field supervision techniques. Solid understanding of HSE regulations and safety leadership. Excellent interpersonal communication skills in an international environment. Analytical mindset with a focus on results and adaptability to changing constraints. Strong English written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Portuguese or French is advantageous. Education & Experience Education: A degree/diploma qualification or equivalent in a related discipline field and/or Oil & Gas construction projects. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in Civil and Structural roles within industrial plants. Pay & Benefits Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
