Overview Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking a Project Engineer, or higher level, to join our Structural team in Holmdel, NJ! Our structural group is growing, and we need a forward-thinking engineer, eager to learn and grow. Our work is very hands-on and diverse and covers the full range of structural/civil/marine/amusement engineering design projects. The work scope ranges from proposal preparation to final design and construction support services. Responsibilities + Prepare engineering designs and/or technical data. + Perform and oversee the work and productivity on assigned projects. + Manage the preparation of construction documents (drawings, specifications, estimates, etc.). + Perform structural inspection and prepare reports, letters, etc. + Coordinate with clients. + Participate in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing support, including business development. + Prepare effective work plans and man-hour budgets. + Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects. + Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity targets, and schedule of deliverables. Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is required. + 5+ years of structural engineering experience is required. + Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required; PE license is preferred. + Good working knowledge of steel, concrete, timber design and a familiarity with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.). + Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, STAAD, Enercalc, etc. + Must be an effective communicator with the ability to work with multiple discipline teams. + Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
