Responsible for checking structural and civil design drawings to ensure accuracy, code compliance, and constructability for oil & gas and power generation projects.
Responsibilities:
Check structural plans, sections, and details for accuracy and compliance
Review skid designs and ensure adherence to project requirements
Verify concrete drawings including location plans, foundation details, anchor bolt details, and rebar BOMs
Perform design checks for facilities such as compressor stations, cryogenic plants, LNG facilities, H2S removal plants, and amine plants
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (PIP, ACI, AISC, etc.)
Coordinate with design teams to resolve discrepancies and improve drawing quality
Requirements:
5–20 years of experience in civil/structural design with prior checking experience
Background in midstream/upstream oil & gas or power generation industry
Proficiency in Cadworx and 3D AutoCAD for reviewing and checking drawings
Familiarity with PIP, ACI, AISC, and other relevant industry codes and standards
Preferred Skills:
Experience checking multidisciplinary drawings in large industrial projects
Knowledge of construction practices and field implementation in oil & gas or power generation sectors
Strong understanding of concrete and steel design principles
Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
