Job Description:

BCC, a Parsons Company, is looking for an amazingly talented Senior CAD Designer / Drafter to join our team! In this role you will get the opportunity to support bridge design for major transportation infrastructure projects throughout the region.

What You'll Be Doing:

Coordinating with and assisting a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare project designs and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and miscellaneous structures

Use standard drafting/design principles and theories to prepare project drawings quickly, accurately, and in accordance with all specifications outlined in internal and external CADD manuals

Work from project specifications, sketches, computer models, and verbal information to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete drawings quickly and accurately

Coordinate with other technicians, designers, and engineers to complete details and ensure a cohesive design

Effectively present proposed team design solutions as part of internal project meetings

Stay up to date with industry CADD standards and best practices

Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns

Ensure timely completion of time sheets, expense reports, and labor hours management

Take ownership of personal and team member career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop and teach new skills, and setting and pursuing goals

Contribute to the development of team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

5 years of related Infrastructure, structural and bridge drafting experience.

Proficiency in Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD and working knowledge of Civil 3D is an advantage.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and/or Bluebeam.

Experience working on FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) projects.

Salary Range: $26.25 - $45.96
