Strip Puller

2nd. Shift  2 pm - 10 pm

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Strip Puller on 2nd. Shift to be located in West Plains, MO.  This position removes off-width lumber pieces from moving drag table. 

JOB DUTIES:

Removes pieces of lumber from moving drag table and places on conveyor, according to use of boards. Removes scrap pieces of wood from drag table and places onto waste belt conveyor. Gauges width of boards by sight or by gauge on drag table. Perform any other duties assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Follow Job Safety Analysis guidelines to assure safe operations. Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:

Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to climb or balance. Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Continually must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment with vibration and an environment where the noise level is usually loud. Continually works near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. Frequently exposed to high precarious places. Frequently climbs stairs to/from workstations.
