Gas turbine Stress Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Capability Requirements:
Capable of technically leading Stress analysis on development projects, provide technical guidance and oversight, ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, collaborate with cross-functional teams in requirements capture and execution, stay updated on emerging tools, technologies, designs and manufacturing methods.
Seasoned problem solver, conduct analyses and contribute to innovating in New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes. Mentor and foster team capability.
Demonstratable experience in FE analyses of
Stress and Lifing (fatigue, damage tolerance/ fracture mechanics).Development rig design analysis and integration.Preparation and review of certification reports.Verify the design calculations of other engineers within the team.Collaborate closely with Team Leaders of other departments and Project Management, to align project objectives.
Ensure that all required procedures and standards are implemented and respected.
Able to Review Team’s deliverables and presenting it to customer review board.
Establish phases in the tasks and make weekly / fortnightly reviews with team members to take corrective actions.
Enhance the internal training and propose potential improvements regarding training or processes (Methodology / Standardization)
Create positive impact to all stakeholders (customers, suppliers, partners, internal organization, etc.) by sharing QG Customer’s strong brand values, essence, philosophy, heritage, way of doing, purpose, value proposition, etc.
Additional knowledge would like to have.
Knowledge of Gas Turbine design and architecture.Certification reports, design record book and definition solutions accounting for layouts, clash checks, materials, weights and tolerances.Advise upon novel manufacturing methods, liaise with supply-chain.Work Experience
Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace/aeronautical, preferred).Computer/Software Skills
