WFLA News Channel 8 is looking for a do-it-all producer to be a key member of our highly-specialized Stream Center team.  The Stream Center Producer is tasked with a variety of duties including producing, directing, editing, and posting of video content. The role will help manage CTV video distribution and programming for our 24/7 streaming app.

Responsibilities:

Producing, directing, editing, and posting of Stream Center video content via OBS StudioAssist in CTV video distribution, including live-hosted video in both unedited and breaking news formatsHelp gather information, b-roll, and visual elements for a successful OBS streamInterest in/willingness to learn and understand successful IT and engineering setups for livestreamingDesire to experiment and innovate in an evolving digital space while maintaining professionalism and journalistic principlesBasic understanding of camera settings, studio lighting, and audio processing

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceExcellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to work well with team membersProficiency with social media and the understanding of digital content creationAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
