This role contributes to Starbucks success by leading the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, enterprise-wide project initiatives impacting the Global Coffee & Sustainability business. This partner will consult with Global Coffee & Sustainability leadership as well as cross-functional leadership teams to build strategies, define business solutions and gain alignment of key cross-functional stakeholders. This role will also steward Global Coffee & Tea program deployment including rhythm of the business activities, team leadership, business readiness, change management, training, and communications.
As a Strategy Principal, Global Coffee & Sustainability, you will…
Champion business strategies for Global Coffee & Sustainability across the executive leadership team, identifying problems to solve, refine strategies and driving solutions forward across the global enterprise Develop & deliver compelling Global Coffee & Sustainability stakeholder communications at the global, executive level (high-fidelity visual and written communications) Steward cross-functional alignment and momentum on key strategic initiatives, taking a lead role in relationship-building and influence on behalf of the Global Coffee & Sustainability executive team Combine multi-faceted contextual inputs with research, data analysis, stakeholder inputs, and creative brainstorming to generate fresh insights and breakthrough solutions on high-stakes, global enterprise challenges in the Global Coffee & Sustainability space
We’d love to hear from people with:
Experience in management consulting, general management and similar functions, ideally in the retail or foodservice industry Proven experience in leading large-scale, enterprise-wide projects – ideally within the supply chain, sustainability and/or high-risk commodity space Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, strength in problem-solving, solutioning effectively through with ambiguity Experience of working across organizational boundaries at all levels, including high-visibility, executive-level International and North America business experience Excels in written and oral communication 5-10 years of experience in strategic planning, or management consulting 5-10 years leading complex programs and projects

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
