The Position

In Roche Diagnostics we are looking for the next Strategy and Business Innovation Head based in Quito, Ecuador or Lima, Peru; who is a visionary leader responsible for shaping the future direction of our diagnostics company. This position will drive growth and competitive advantage by developing and executing strategic initiatives focused on innovation and in the value of our solutions. The S&I Head will serve as an internal champion for new ideas and operational excellence, ensuring our business remains at the forefront of the industry.

This is a key leadership position, responsible for leading and developing a team to achieve strategic objectives while consistently aligning our efforts with our core purpose: \"Doing now what patients need next.\"

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, based on our leadership principles, our VACC and High Performing Organization framework. The focus of the Strategy & Innovation team is on delivering and translating the company strategy, the innovation, and our diagnostics and disease value to all the organization, healthcare systems, customers and patients. This position is a leader who fosters a collaborative and results-driven environment, ensuring all team activities are directly aligned with our company's purpose. The S&I Manager will lead the team goals definition, projects assignment, and performance management to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution. 

Strategic Planning & Insights: Lead the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategic plans that align with corporate goals. Gather and analyze market and disease management insights to identify new growth opportunities within different customer segments, informing strategic decisions that prioritize customer and patient needs. Facilitate the annual strategic planning process to ensure all stakeholders are focused on our core purpose and aligned with Global and LATAM goals.

Product Management & Innovation: Lead the team in managing the entire product lifecycle of our diagnostics solutions. Drive innovation by identifying, evaluating, and proposing new initiatives, strategies and services that directly address the future needs of customers and patients. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning across the organization, always with a patient-centric mindset.

Growth in Customer Areas: Lead the team in designing and executing strategies to expand our reach and value proposition in new customer areas and segments. Collaborate with all the teams/chapters (commercial, finance, service, access, legal, medical, etc) to enhance our value proposition and build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring our solutions effectively meet the needs of the healthcare ecosystem and, ultimately, the patients they serve.

Events & Promotions Management: Lead the team in the strategy, planning, and execution of all marketing events and promotional campaigns. Ensure these initiatives are aligned with product and business strategies and effectively communicate our value proposition to target audiences, always highlighting how our solutions help fulfill our core purpose.

Your Profile:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Biology, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or certification in project management is highly preferred.

5-7 years of experience in strategy, business development, or innovation roles, preferably within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or diagnostics industry.

Proven experience leading and managing a team.

Demonstrated track record of successfully creating and implementing growth strategies and managing product portfolios.

Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex data and make evidence-based decisions.

Results-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Fluency in English (written and spoken).
