How will you make an impact in this role?

In this role, you will make an impact by transforming data into strategic insights that drive acquisition and customer lifecycle performance. Leveraging state-of-the-art data science and machine learning, you will help anticipate customer behaviors, optimize performance across the funnel, and strengthen financial planning. Beyond delivering accurate and timely reporting, you will explore advanced techniques such as predictive modeling, clustering, and anomaly detection, and integrate them into scalable solutions powered by cloud technologies. Your work will not only enhance decision-making in acquisition and marketing but also foster a culture of innovation within Strategic Planning by introducing new analytical methodologies and continuously evolving how AMEX leverages data to solve complex business challenges.

 

Responsibilities

Drive acquisition and post-acquisition performance by managing end-to-end customer funnel and early lifecycle reporting.

Develop campaign-level strategies through advanced analytics, maximizing conversion, activation, retention, and long-term customer value.

Translate customer behavior data into profitability insights, supporting ROI/NPV projections, CMV modeling (Y1–Y5), and financial planning.

Ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting through data quality checks, automation, and alignment with global methodologies.

Drive acquisition and post-acquisition performance by managing end-to-end funnel and early customer lifecycle reporting, ensuring alignment with strategic KPIs.

Apply AI/ML techniques (predictive modeling, clustering, anomaly detection) to anticipate customer behaviors, optimize funnel conversion, and improve retention strategies.

Continuously enhance reporting efficiency through automation and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, and SQL).

Provide consultative insights into leadership, transforming complex data into strategies that connect acquisition performance with sustainable business growth.

 

Minimum Qualifications


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably within financial services, banking, or large-scale customer acquisition environments.
 

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, Power Query).

Experience with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

SQL skills for querying, validating, and integrating large datasets.

Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., BigQuery, AWS, Azure).

Exposure to predictive modeling, machine learning, or advanced statistical methods is a strong plus.

 

Business Acumen:

Knowledge of acquisition funnel and customer lifecycle performance metrics.

Understanding of profitability frameworks (ROI, NPV, CMV).

Ability to connect operational reporting outputs with strategic business KPIs.

 

Competencies:

Strong analytical mindset with capacity to identify anomalies, trends, and root-cause drivers.

Effective communicator with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Proactive and curious, with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation in reporting and analytics.
