The Business Development and Strategy Analyst provides research and analytic support for the development of business plans for service lines and territory enhancement, assisting with the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities and assisting with the initial implementation of new services, programs and businesses. Writes reports, analytic summaries, and plans that will be the culmination of extensive data and trend analysis, interviews, and market assessments.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Support Network Development, service line and other senior managers with the development of and updates to service line and entity plans
+ On both ad hoc and routine basis, support or conduct the collection, organization and analysis of information and data to support decision making by senior management
+ Perform data extractions and investigations to assist in the development of strategic direction for any Network service
+ Become a proficient user in network geoanalytic and data analytic platforms
+ Maintain expertise in the use of network analytics systems to maximize its value in the planning and business development activities of the department
+ Deliver accurate, timely, and professionally prepared reports using the appropriate tools and datasets to Network Development leadership
+ Maintain a warehouse of data references from sources such as Medicare, PA and NJ Health Departments, local media, etc. and be proficient in understanding and use thereof
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for up to seven hours per day, three hours at a time. Standing for up to four hours per day, three hours at a time. Requires occasional fingering, handling, and twisting. Occasionally requires lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasionally requires reaching above shoulder level. Ability to hear as it relates to normal conversation and see as it relates to general vision.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare-related discipline required. Master’s degree or enrollment in relevant degree program preferred. Experience may be eligible for substitute.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have 3-5 years of experience in planning, business development, healthcare operations, or data analytics. Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word. Healthcare experience and critical thinking experience preferred.
