Strategic Work Portfolio & Prioritization Supervisor

Basic qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.5+ years of progressive project management experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.3+ years of advanced experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Atlas, Jira Product Discovery) in a complex, enterprise environment.Extensive experience with data modeling, strategic data analysis, and deriving actionable insights from complex datasets.Proven experience in leading cross-functional workstreams and driving large-scale process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree required in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.Strong executive communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Proficiency in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), with deep understanding of strategic application.Extensive experience in global project planning, program management, and strategic process design.Expertise in data validation, root cause analysis, and establish robust data governance frameworks.Superior analytical, strategic problem-solving, organizational, and complex multitasking skills.Highly independent, results-driven, assertive, and proactive in identifying and addressing strategic challenges.Strong commitment to the Ford+ plan implementation and driving organizational transformation.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent advanced PM certification.Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) at a leadership or implementation level.Experience with large-scale organizational change management initiatives. Advanced proficiency with Power BI for executive-level reporting and data visualization.

What you'll do...

The Strategic Work Portfolio & Prioritization Supervisor is a pivotal leadership role, overseeing the strategic direction and operational integrity of the Enterprise Strategic Work Portfolio process. This position holds primary responsibility for leading crucial decision meetings within this strategic work management process, ensuring robust governance and decision-making. The Supervisor will lead dedicated workstreams focused on the critical integration of cycle plan, funding, and containability into the Enterprise Strategic Work Portfolio, and will spearhead efforts to align the cycle plan directly to the process.

Crucially, this role will also lead the workstreams around training, on-boarding, and prioritization within the Enterprise Strategic Work Portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment and efficient resource allocation, and enabling data-driven decision-making across all facets of its process.

This is a highly visible and influential role, requiring exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills to effectively engage stakeholders and users, lead cross-functional groups, and drive continuous process improvements. The Strategic Work Portfolio & Prioritization Supervisor is the ultimate steward of data integrity and process efficiency within the Enterprise Strategic Work Portfolio, directly impacting the Feature Strategy team and its partners by enabling informed, strategic decisions and highly efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership of Chief & Director Level Decision Forums: Lead and facilitate the Strategic Work Portfolio’s key Chief & Director Level Decision Forum, ensuring effective governance, decision ratification, and alignment of technical changes with strategic objectives.Prioritization: Lead and manage the workstream dedicated to defining, refining, and implementing prioritization methodologies within the Strategic Work Portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and efficient resource allocation.Data-Driven Decision Making: Champion and lead initiatives to enable robust data-driven decision-making across the Strategic Work Portfolio process, ensuring that key stakeholders have access to accurate, timely, and actionable insights.Cycle Plan, Funding, & Containability: Lead and manage the dedicated workstream responsible for integrating and operationalizing cycle plan, funding mechanisms, and containability requirements directly into the Strategic Work Portfolio.Executive Engagement: Represent the Strategic Work Portfolio process and its strategic initiatives in senior executive meetings, providing clear, concise updates, advocating for necessary resources, and influencing strategic decisions.Training & On-board: Train and on-board cross-functional groups and teams involved in UBL operations, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Additional responsibilities: 

Advanced Data Analysis & Oversight: Oversee sophisticated analysis of Strategic Work Portfolio operations data to identify systemic trends, critical inefficiencies, and significant opportunities for strategic improvement across workflows and processes.Strategic Process Optimization: Proactively design, champion, and implement high-impact process improvements to significantly streamline operations, elevate data quality, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall productivity across various departments.Performance Tracking & Measurement: Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics at a strategic level, providing actionable insights that directly support senior-level decision-making and measure the effectiveness of process improvements.Comprehensive Reporting & Executive Dashboards: Develop and maintain executive-level operational reports and dashboards, providing transparent visibility Cross-functional Collaboration & Change Management: Drive and facilitate high-level collaboration with engineering, product, and strategy leadership to implement significant process changes, manage organizational change, and ensure sustained improvements in efficiency and data quality.Strategic Operational Support: Provide senior-level guidance and data-backed recommendations to resolve complex operational issues, mitigating challenges swiftly and effectively.
