Job Description:
NATO HQ Supreme Allied Command Transformation (NATO SACT) is seeking contract support for the capture, development, architecture, data science and quality assurance of capability requirements and operational analysis necessary to adapt to future threats and explore long-term military strategy to shape how NATO's forces will operate in the future. To support our NATO customer, SimIS Inc seeks a Strategic Thinker to support NATO Capability Program Managers and projects. The candidate will conduct research and analysis to support NATO’s Strategic Foresight, Strategic Planning and Execution, Strategic Gap Analysis, Strategy Implementation, Futures Thinking, Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence. 

Experience Required:BS Degree in international relations, business administration, economics, public administration, operations research or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.Seven (7) years of experience in policy/strategy analysis or strategic planning.Demonstrated experience in corporate, government, or academic environment in analysis in the area of international relations, security or strategic studies.Experience in strategic analysis of China and the Sino-Russian relationship.A basic understanding of Strategic Foresight, Strategic Planning and Execution, Strategic Gap Analysis, Strategy Implementation, Futures Thinking, Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence.Previous experience in an international organization / governmental organization, preferably NATO experience.Responsibilities:Support implementation of Long-Term Military Strategic Shaping (LTMSS) Program of Work.Facilitate and prepare workshops and other related events such as wargames.Provide valuable input on NATO Warfighting Capstone Concept (NWCC) and Warfare Development Agenda (WDA) and offer ideas and related analysis.Interpret military, political, economic, sociocultural, and technological trends and develop alternatives ways of assessment.Conduct research and data analysis to inform strategic decisions, especially on China and the Sino-Russian relationship.Develop plans to materialize long term strategy and analyze development proposals.Conduct research to identify threats and opportunities.Construct forecasts and analytical models.Monitor and analyze global trends (cognitive topics, international relations, global security environment, industry and market changes, etc.).Benefits:        Medical, Dental, and VisionShort-Term Disability (at no cost to you) & Long-Term DisabilityLife Insurance401(k) Savings PlanFlex Spending AccountsTuition Assistance ProgramProfessional DevelopmentPaid Time Off (PTO)11 Federal Holidays each year SimIS, Inc. is an EOE / M / F / Disability / VET / Drug Free Employer
