**The Strategic Sourcing Specialist** plays a key role in securing and managing the supply of materials necessary for the manufacturing operations at our Appleton facility in Cluj. This role contributes to the long-term performance of our supply base by identifying and qualifying suppliers, consolidating material volumes at the European level, negotiating supplier agreements, and driving cost, delivery, and inventory performance. The ideal candidate is experienced in procurement within a manufacturing setting, demonstrates strong analytical and negotiation skills, and enjoys working cross-functionally to improve supplier performance and reduce operational risk. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Collaborate with Engineering and Development to support procurement activities, cost projections, and supplier negotiations for new product development (NPD) projects;
+ Identify and qualify suppliers in line with business requirements, lead cross-functional teams for onboarding and system creation;
+ Evaluate suppliers for capacity, risk, cost, and performance, and define mitigation plans where needed;
+ Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, and contractual T&Cs aligned with cost-saving and inventory objectives;
+ Maintain close relationships with suppliers, share forecasts, and secure material availability through commercial contracts;
+ Lead cost containment and on-time delivery improvement projects;
+ Monitor and improve supplier performance, including regular reviews and monthly performance follow-ups;
+ Proactively manage part shortage risks and drive data-based decisions to ensure supply chain effectiveness ;
+ Provide operational support to Planning and Tactical Buyers for timely material supply;
+ Own the RFQ process, including bid analysis and vendor selection for mid-sized projects;
+ Review design change requests from suppliers and collaborate with internal teams on implementation;
+ Support ERP implementation activities as needed;
+ Manage cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, involving Quality, Engineering, and Logistics;
+ Participate actively in departmental meetings, contribute to continuous improvement, and fulfill additional tasks as assigned by management.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree (a mechanical engineering background is an advantage);
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing environment;
+ Solid understanding of material requirements and sourcing processes;
+ Proven negotiation skills and ability to manage commercial relationships;
+ Strong analytical thinking and data interpretation capabilities;
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project);
+ Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle or similar preferred);
+ Fluency in English (spoken and written); intermediate French is an advantage;
+ Strong communication, follow-through, and cross-functional collaboration skills;
+ Motivated, driven, and consistently achieves;
**Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:**
+ Experience in managing sourcing projects across European supplier bases;
+ Familiarity with supplier qualification and onboarding processes;
+ Exposure to compliance processes and supplier performance monitoring;
+ Experience with ERP system implementation or enhancement ;
+ Understanding of supplier risk mitigation strategies and inventory management critical metrics.
