Position Summary:The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Strategic Sourcing strategy, developing and implementing sourcing strategies and solutions for Client opportunities, developing and managing supplier relationships, and enhancing our sourcing capabilities. This role involves collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure the delivery of effective sourcing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Sourcing
Support the development and implementation of the Strategic Sourcing strategy and roadmapDevelop and implement sourcing strategies and solutions for Client opportunities in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external partnersGenerate new supplier contracts and support the cultivation of supplier relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and wholesalersNegotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions, including attractive prices and volume/cash discountsSupervise supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligationsLead and support Supplier Business Review meetings, and collaborate on opportunities for improvementCommunicate up-to-date market information on drug supply chains to Market analystsAssist in fostering/leading new service development in collaboration with Program Managers, including the development of value propositions and communication materialMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industryProven track record of successfully running complex sourcing projects and supplier relationshipsStrong negotiation skills and experience in contract managementExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to Comparator SourcingFlexibility to travel as needed for discussions with suppliers and key partnersAbility and Skills:Strong leadership and project management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, skilled at building and nurturing positive relationships with suppliers and internal collaboratorsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentMeticulous with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrategic problem solver with the ability to develop and implement long-term sourcing plansAbility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs
