We work with clients across the entire project life cycle — from initial planning studies through final construction and operations and maintenance services — on both traditional and alternative project-delivery options (design-build, public-private partnerships and financing).

Job Description

With continued growth across AECOM’s broader pipeline and an expanding Pursuits function, an opportunity has arisen to lead complex Water sector pursuits. This role sits at the centre of capture strategy and bid excellence, driving high-impact outcomes across the ANZ region.

Please note that this role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney

How you’ll make a difference

Lead and deliver high-value pursuits by taking ownership of strategic, must-win bids while ensuring proposals are client-focused and delivered on time and within budget.Develop winning strategies through collaboration with Capture Managers and senior leaders to align pursuit strategies with client needs and AECOM’s business objectives.Coordinate multidisciplinary teams by acting as the central point of leadership to bring together technical experts and stakeholders for cohesive and compelling responses.Drive continuous improvement by embedding best practices in pursuit management and applying lessons learned to enhance future bid success rates.Manage and develop a high functioning pursuits team.

Demonstrate strategic thinking and problem-solving skills by developing clear strategies for complex pursuits while navigating competing priorities.Exhibit exceptional communication and leadership abilities through strong written and verbal skills that inspire and align teams while presenting ideas persuasivelyHave proven experience in pursuit or bid management with at least 10 years of leading large, complex bids or projects in a professional services or consulting environment. Be a collaborative and client-focused individual who builds strong relationships with internal teams and external clients to ensure tailored proposals deliver measurable value.Possess technical proficiency and market knowledge
