In this role, you are part of the Project Management Office (PMO). In the Strategic Project Manager - Global Laboratory Operations role, you routinely manage different-scale, multifaceted, global projects bringing strategic advancement to laboratory operations.

In this role, the Strategic Project Manager - Global Laboratory Operations will provide internal and potentially external Clients with a central point of contact for assigned projects within Labcorp Clinical Trial Testing Solutions - PMO. The individual is accountable for leading the Program/Project teams to ensure that internal and external Client requirements and deliverables are met. This involves end-to-end management of a program/project, encompassing effective management of communications and use of the appropriate tools to ensure successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and completion of projects.

This position will be home based.

In more details, you will be responsible for the following:

 Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of projects assignedResponsible to create and manage detailed project plansResponsible to report project status to team, management and stakeholders through regular status reports, management reports and communications meetingsResponsible to track project issues and ensure appropriate resolution working closely with the upper leadershipResponsible to hold formal project reviews with management to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfactionResponsible to deliver projects successfully on time and on or under budget with regularity and predictabilityRecord actual labor utilization on the project and creates resource utilization forecastsAssist the laboratory management and the wider organization in the following aspects of project planningProject scope and change control processesManage the relationship within project teams, executive sponsors and all identified stakeholdersMotivate teams by presenting a vision and strategy for deliveryNegotiate on behalf of all project team members to ensure service delivery and team satisfactionEffectively works with a diverse group of stakeholders in the organizationProject status updatesProject’s budget allocation, approval and management

What we are looking for:Minimum of a Bachelors degree or country equivalentMinimum 5 years of experience in Project Management, leading complex global projectsPMP certificationExperience leading complex strategic projects; managing or participation in IT projects are an advantage.Demonstrated experience in team building, influencing and conflict resolutionExperience of working in a global multicultural environmentPrevious experience of driving continuous improvementProven track record of successful project completionExperience with project management tools including Microsoft Project and OfficeFluency in EnglishProven leadership skillsDemonstrated strong customer service skillsExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal skillsStrong planning, organizational and problem solving skillsDemonstrated a high degree of initiative and ability to work collaborativelyThis role can require some global travel when needed.
