We are looking for a Rolling Stock Components Strategic Procurement Intern. This position will be based at our Alpharetta area branch located in Georgia. 


During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Strategic Procurement Department where you will learn how our collaboration with other cross-functional teams and our procurement decisions impact broader business outcomes.

A little bit about us


Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.

The Strategic Procurement function plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of mobility by ensuring that the right materials, services, and technologies are sourced efficiently and sustainably.


What your day-to-day will look like:



Conduct spend analysis and prepare reports to identify cost-saving opportunitiesDocument our procurement workflow, compare to global and identify opportunities for local improvements Participate in development of commodity strategy for C-parts

Who Should Apply? 


Education/Majors: Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and majoring in Supply Chain Management with strong technical or analytical aptitudeAvailability: 40 hours per week from June to AugustWork Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorizationPrior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0Demonstrated leadership potentialStrong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical-thinking skillsIndustry knowledge and/or interest

You’ll Benefit From The hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 per hour for first time Interns or $28.00 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
 Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
