**Summary**
Serves as business partner and right-hand to SVP – Freeman AV taking on responsibilities that allows the EVP to effectively lead the AV organization, maximize time and ensure alignment with the organization’s priorities. Supports the SVP in delivering against goals and commitments, ensuring due dates are met. Creates and maintains cross-departmental relationships to keep a pulse on the health of the organization and effectively drive change. Learns and supports all aspects of leadership including hiring talent, design and aligning incentive programs, measuring performance, revenue forecasting, etc.
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of Dallas, TX.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Provides analysis, recommendations, and options to the SVP regarding decisions to be made or problems to be solved in internal or external meetings
+ Acts a proxy and information funnel, filter, and facilitator for the SVP, dealing with as many issues possible before they reach the SVP’s desk, representing the SVP’s point of view, and making decisions, as needed, in the executive’s absence
+ Supports the SVP’s strategic priorities: helps the SVP identify areas to focus on as well as metrics for success, including progress evaluations
+ Manages a strategic planning and budgeting process for the executive’s organization.
+ Strategically manages the SVP's time: works with the AVETA Executive Assistant, to manage prioritization of schedules and meetings, including long term travel calendar, evaluating opportunities, anticipating next steps and determining fit with priorities
+ Reviews Internal and External Communications: acts as a conduit with the Marketing / Communications team to review their drafts of company communications, newsletters, reports, pitch decks, speeches or presentations for the SVP
+ Monitors information flow: ensures the SVP’s involvement in a project or decision-making process is appropriately sequenced
+ Provides a bridge for consistent communication between the SVP's office with internal departments, including other chief of staffs and EAs within the Freeman organization to drive efficient and effective workflows and communications
+ Works closely and effectively with the SVP to ensure the SVP is well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up as appropriate
+ Builds, leads and fosters relationships crucial to the success of SVP and the organization
+ Manages a variety of special projects for the SVP, some of which may have an organizational impact
+ Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with hands-on approach, including personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the SVP’s ability to effectively lead the organization
+ Prioritizes conflicting needs: handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with tight deadlines
+ Records action items during SVP -attended meetings and ensures post-meeting strategic action items are executed
+ Oversees large organizational (often cross-functional) projects or initiatives and helps drive them through to completion by due dates/deadlines
+ Assumes responsibility for day-to-day and long-term projects and tasks, ensuring completion of SVP’s action items
+ Creates systems and processes to streamline operations that impact the SVP
+ Identifies, tracks and follows-up on priority issues with proactive escalation when necessary
+ Performs other duties as assigned
**Education & Experience**
+ Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor's degree from a 4 year accredited institution with relevant experience required
+ Minimum of 8 years of executive-level professional experience in a corporate setting, including 2+ years of management consulting or advising executive teams
+ Must be passionate about this role, supporting the SVP
+ Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
+ Active listener and can easily learn to communicate in someone else’s “written voice”
+ Ability to work with confidential information and remain composed under changing circumstances with limited context
+ Strategic thinker, problem solver and a nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
+ Excels at building relationships and networks; influences others to achieve outcomes; strong emotional intelligence
+ Strong organizational agility
+ Effective at supporting complex multi-stakeholder planning processes, driving cross-team collaboration to desired results, and mitigating risk
+ Experience with operations and budget management
+ Demonstrated success in developing decision-decks including data gathering and analysis, PowerPoint decks and report writing skills
+ Experience with data analysis
+ Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
+ Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and deliver accurate, timely results
+ A proven ability to take an idea from inception to completion while effectively and efficiently communicating with various departments
+ Exceptional program / project management skills including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, communications, procurement, human resources / talent acquisition and integration management
+ Proficient technical skills including financial spreadsheets, word processing, databases, presentation applications and social media platforms
**Travel Requirements**
