As a Strategic Marketing Analyst Intern, you’ll support the development of high-impact business strategies through rigorous market, technology, and product research. You’ll investigate key external forces shaping the future of the automotive industry and translate findings into actionable insights that inform market positioning and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze industry trends, macroeconomic shifts, and market forces to develop strategic hypotheses.Map and benchmark customers and competitors within key automotive application spaces.Conduct market segmentation and sizing, SWOT analyses, and business model assessments to inform competitive positioning and strategic directionAssist in Voice-of-Market and Voice-of-Customer research to validate differentiated value propositions.Collaborate with sales and innovation teams to support opportunity pipeline development.Contribute to thought leadership in critical growth areas through product and market expertise.Prepare market and product presentations and participate in customer-facing events (e.g., tech days).Qualifications
Undergraduate student (graduate students also welcome) in engineering, business, natural sciences, or social sciences.Strong interest in both quantitative and qualitative research, with a methodical and objective approach.Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for customer-centric innovation and aggressive growth.Curious, proactive, and eager to understand complex systems to influence outcomes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Comfortable working in a technical B2B and automotive environment.Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and English.Experience with AI-enabled research tools is a plus.ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
