About the position
Reporting to the Strategic Insights Lead, this role plays a key part in advancing consumer centricity and deepening consumer understanding within the Marketing and Sales teams, with a particular focus on the RRP category. The successful candidate will leverage strong business acumen and insight-driven thinking to connect the dots across data and trends. Acting as a trusted business partner, you will enable cross-functional teams to develop robust strategies and impactful programs that strengthen JTI’s competitive advantage in the marketplace.
What will you do:
Methodological Tools & Research Development
You will be responsible for continuously reviewing and evaluating both internal and external research methodologies. A key part of your role will be to identify and adopt innovative or emerging research approaches, adapting existing methods to align with evolving business needs. You are expected to drive continuous improvement by exploring new techniques and technologies that enhance research processes and deliverables.
Additionally, you will oversee the identification and selection of reliable research agencies, ensuring efficient budget utilization while diversifying and strengthening the roster of trusted research partners.
Timely Delivery of the Research Agenda
You will lead the end-to-end management of the Egypt Research Agenda, from project initiation through to execution. This includes identifying research and analytics needs in alignment with strategic business goals and emerging market opportunities.
You will apply robust quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and reliability, while continuously challenging research partners to adopt best-in-class methodologies and quality assurance practices.
Performance & Effectiveness Evaluation
You will be responsible for designing and implementing performance measurement frameworks and effectiveness indicators. These tools will support the evaluation and enhancement of various consumer and market-facing activities—including direct-to-consumer efforts, events, activations, trade programs, and communications initiatives.
Strategic Planning
You will play an active role in the company’s strategic planning processes by providing comprehensive market and consumer insights. This includes contributing to portfolio strategy, pricing decisions, performance reviews, and supporting cross-functional teams on specific business cases.
Collaboration & Ways of Working
You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, and Finance, as well as engage with regional and HQ counterparts. You will also support the HQ Strategic Insights (SI) team on global projects and frameworks.
Your efforts will help position Strategic Insights as a trusted business partner, delivering actionable insights that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Requirements:
EDUCATION
Master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a research role within the FMCG sector or a multinational organization.
SKILLS
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in market research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative techniques, pricing studies, and retail audits. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel. Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills. Ability to translate business needs into research objectives. Skilled at transforming data into actionable insights. Solid project management capabilities with a high degree of self-discipline. Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Fluent in English.Soft Skills
Detail-oriented and thorough. Comfortable managing complexity and adapting to varied situations. Creative and innovative thinker. Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.Desirable Qualifications
Experience working across multiple markets or cultures. Familiarity with international brands. Knowledge of the tobacco industry. Background in pricing research. Good understanding of related functions in Marketing & Sales.
