STRATEGIC INSIGHTS MANAGER
Reporting to the Strategic Insights Lead, this role is instrumental in driving consumer centricity and consumer knowledge in Marketing and sales and across the organization for RRP category in specific. The successful candidate will be responsible of deep consumer understanding, applying business acumen, Connecting the dots, and acting as a trusted Business partner who will empower other functions to shape robust strategies and effective programs that will give JTI a competitive edge in the marketplace.

As the Strategic Insights Mananger you will be responsible for:
Methodological tools and research follow up:
You will be overviewing all the available research methodologies internally and externally and continuously assessing and identifying new research methodologies. You will be expected to be innovative and creative in embracing new methodologies or adapting existing ones to better fit business needs. You will constantly seek for new approaches and ways to improve the process and deliverables considering new methods and technologies.
This will be linked to identifying and recruiting the best reliable agencies and efficient and effective budget management and diversifying the list of trusted research supplier.
On time delivery of the research Agenda:
Overall, you will be supervising all Egypt research Agenda projects from set-up to execution. identifying research and analytics needs considering the strategic objectives and potential opportunities in market.
You will Apply different quality control approaches for improving the data quality/accuracy and keep challenging the agencies for the best approaches and quality control methodologies.
Performance and effectiveness:
The successful candidate will need to design and establish the best performance, effectiveness indicators’ methodologies and tools that will allow evaluate and improve the different consumer and market activities (direct to consumers, events, Activations, trade programs, communications…)
Strategic Planning:
You will be actively contributing to the company’s strategic planning and reviews Including Overall market and consumer Insights, portfolio and pricing planning practices, performance and analysis, support to different functions on specific business cases.
Teamwork and ways of working:
You will effectively collaborate with Marketing, Sales & finance team members.
You will be in contact with market, region, and HQ stakeholder. Also, you will support and liaise with HQ SI teams on global initiatives and global approaches.
You will contribute to establishing Strategic Insights as a reliable business partner, to identify relevant actionable insights and empower sound business decisions across the whole organization.
Requirements:
5+ years of relevant experience in research role in FMCG or multinational organization. Excellent knowledge of market research methodology (Qualitative and Quantitative, Pricing, Retail audit). Excellent knowledge of MS office, advanced knowledge of Power Point and Excel. Advanced data analysis/analytical skills. Ability to understand and translate business requirements to research. Ability to convert data into insights. Project Management skills and self-discipline. Effective verbal and written communication and presentation. Fluent in English. Rigorous and attentive to detail. Able to Handle complexity and adapt to different situations. Creativity and innovation. Collaboration and teamwork. Multimarket experience or cross-cultural experience is a plus. Experience working on international brands is a plus. Tobacco Knowledge is a plus. Pricing research experience is a plus. Good knowledge of related functions in M&S is a plus.
