The Strategic Insights Associate is a core analytical role supporting commercial decision-making through rigorous data handling, structured analysis, and clear insight storytelling. For a 12-month period, you will work hands-on with commercial, market, and consumer data—tracking KPIs, analyzing trends, and supporting research initiatives to provide leadership with actionable insights on commercial performance, competitor activity, and consumer trends in the reduced-risk products category. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, curious, proactive, and ambitious to grow into a high-impact analytical partner.

 

This is a 12-month temporary position with the intention to convert a permanent role following a successful assessment period. 

 

What You’ll Do

 

Data Management & Preparation: Consolidate, clean, and structure data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and analytical readiness. Preprocess raw survey, consumer, and commercial data for downstream analysis. KPI Tracking & Analysis: Monitor commercial KPIs (sales, market share, pricing, promotions) across channels. Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to support business decision-making. Market & Competitor Research: Track competitor products, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns. Conduct desk research to provide context for commercial insights. Insight Generation, Reporting & Process Improvement: Interpret patterns in commercial and consumer data, translating them into actionable insights. Create concise reports and visualizations in English for leadership and cross-functional teams. Proactively improve reporting processes, analytical frameworks, and data workflows. Consumer Research Support: Assist in designing, implementing, and analyzing consumer research studies. Integrate consumer insights with commercial data to support actionable recommendations. Cross-Functional & Ad-Hoc Support: Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.

 

What We’re Looking For

 

University degree in Psychology, Statistics, Data Analysis, or related fields. Minimum 1-2 years of strategic insights/data analytics experience is required, experience in FMCG marketing or commercial analytics experience is advantageous. Strong analytical skills, ability to structure, clean, and interpret data to generate actionable insights. Proficient in Excel and familiar with Power BI or similar visualization tools; Python or other programming experience is a plus. Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, ability to translate complex data into clear, persuasive insights and present findings to cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven, with a willingness to take ownership of projects and processes. Fluent in English and Korean.
