Job DescriptionPublic Storage is seeking a hands-on Corporate Initiatives Manager to join the team. In conjunction with the Vice President of Investor Relations and Strategic Partnerships, the Corporate Initiatives Manager will work closely with key internal and external constituents to support Public Storage’s broader corporate strategies. The role will provide unique exposure across the company’s best-in-class operations with a focus on developing and executing strategic projects through planning, project management, stakeholder communication, and performance tracking and analytics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop deep understanding of Public Storage’s business in support of cross-functional corporate teams and strategiesPartner with senior leadership to identify and execute opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and growthServe as liaison between executive leadership, internal teams, and external partnersFoster strong relationships with internal teams including operations, technology, and property acquisitions and developmentIdentify and manage external partnerships with industry and non-industry participants, VC firms, and proptech innovatorsIdentify, create, and present business cases for new initiatives and partnerships to executive leadership teamDevelop strategies and project plans for initiatives, including objectives, timelines, resources, KPIs, and ROI estimatesManage project milestones in conjunction with internal and external teamsTrack initiative and partnership performance, identifying and remediating issues while leveraging successesCommunicate ongoing progress and findings to stakeholders at various levelsServe as a positive ambassador of the Public Storage brand, both internally and externallyQualificationsBachelor’s degree7+ years related experience, including corporate strategy, corporate development, program management, or related fieldsTrack record of success in enhancing corporate performance through internal and external strategic initiatives and partnerships preferredProven ability to lead initiatives with significant business impactExperience in identifying, analyzing, underwriting, and developing business cases for potential opportunities preferredStrong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExcellent Microsoft Office skills with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint (additional skills with Tableau, SQL, and Python preferred)Strength of character and ability to communicate with internal and external colleagues at all levels through excellent analytical, verbal, written, and broader interpersonal skillsHighly motivated and organized with the ability to learn and work independently and collaborativelyStrong work ethic and ability to support multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlinesAdditional InformationWorkplace
