We are seeking a highly skilled and execution-focused Strategic Communications and Event Planner to partner closely with the Strategic Event Program Manager in bringing our comprehensive event strategies to life. This pivotal role is responsible for the meticulous planning, operational management, and seamless execution of our diverse event portfolio, encompassing proprietary symposiums, sales-led events, and key industry exhibitions. Leveraging expertise in logistics, vendor relations, event technology, and on-site management, you will translate strategic objectives into flawlessly delivered live experiences that effectively build brand engagement, empower our sales force, and contribute directly to achieving defined business goals.

This position eport to the Marketing Communications and Events Manager, is part of the Beckman Coulter North America Marketing team and will be fully REMOTE.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Execute event projects from an initial concept through post-event analysis, including developing timelines, managing budgets, and coordinating cross-functional teams.Manage event logistics, ensuring seamless coordination of all elements such as venue selection, catering, audio-visual services, transportation, and accommodations (specifically for proprietary events like symposiums).Manage event technology solutions, including registration platforms, attendee management systems, virtual/hybrid event tools, and presentation management software.Provide hands-on on-site management and support for proprietary events ("Symposiums"), overseeing set-up, execution, tear-down, vendor coordination, and ensuring a positive attendee experience.Maintain inventory and coordinate logistics for event collateral, ensuring materials are current and available for sales-led and other events.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field with 2+ years of experience*Experience is defined as planning and executing corporate events, trade shows, or similar live experiences.Ability to work independently, problem-solve effectively, and remain calm under pressure.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires up to 25% flying and/or driving domestic travel, which may include overnight stays.  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination (e.g., catering, AV, decorators), registration platforms, and on-site execution to ensure seamless and impactful experiences.Proficient in event management software, including registration platforms and project management tools, as well as Microsoft Office; brings a creative mindset to enhance attendee experience and overall event effectiveness.

The annual salary range for this role is $85,000.00–$95,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
