In this position, you will become part of a dedicated and competent Global Procurement & Supply Chain team located in Easley. Collaboratively, we ensure effective management of our global suppliers so they deliver and improve on all parameters.
Please note: This position requires a regular onsite presence at least 3 days per week in our Easley office.
Job Responsibilities
As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for a range of strategic procurement activities to ensure long-term supplier development, as you drive the procurement agenda in a global matrix organization. In doing so, you will work across several global functions and serve as the vital link between supply chain and external suppliers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading supplier relationships to drive capacity management discussions and delivery Being responsible for a number of suppliers, including handling contracts, price negotiations, and benchmarking activities Coordinating ramp-up and ramp-down activities for new and continuous improvement projects Completing Logistic Service Level Agreements with selected suppliers Supporting and occasionally leading cost reduction and other sourcing projects that improve cost, quality, and delivery from suppliers Drive and support supplier change requests through our change management process Background & SkillsAt Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making.
