Job Description:
Ready for a challenge helping defend our country? Parsons will be hiring Strategic Architecture Engineers in support of the Missile Defense Agency. Our Engineers work with the MDA and function as a technical, engineering, advisory, and management support.
Duties include:
Provide Systems Engineering expertise and knowledgeDefine and evaluate Missile Defense System (MDS) capability trade space envelope, architectural performance metrics, and other high-level performance metrics as applicable Provide Prime Contractor proposal technical evaluation and analysisScope, execute and document the results of MDS architecture trade studies as a member of the Architecture Design TeamSupport the development of Initial Requirements Documents, Architecture Requirements Packages, and other systems engineering artifacts related to the MDS, as applicableSupport the development of alternative architecture concepts addressing projected capability gaps, real world threats, and intelligence community threat estimatesLead and coordinate the development of architecture requirements, development, and analysis in support of Service and Combatant Commands (CCMD) needs.Lead, develop, and coordinate MDA vision and strategies to support the Warfighter, including coordinating with DoD, Joint Staff, Services, CCMDs, Intel Community (IC), Other Governmental Agencies (OGA), national labs, Industry and international partnersSupport the Architecture Design Team to scope and define trade study methodologies, measures and deliverablesSupport activities of the Architecture Design Team; provides, develops and delivers briefings addressing applicable trade study efforts; provides comment and review to work products developed by other Working Group membersCoordinate future technology requirements across the breadth of MDA and with DoD, Joint Staff, Services, the IC, and OGAs.Coordinate trade study related activities and work products with teammates across the Architecture Design Team and external MDA stakeholders as applicableRequired Skills:
Bachelors degree in a STEM program and 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or related workWorking knowledge of design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements from a Systems Engineering perspectiveFamiliarity with missile defense and/or DOD processes and proceduresAbility to work independently within a fast-paced, dynamic environmentSelf-starter with willingness to learnActive Secret security clearance requiredDesired Skills:
Proficient in the Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)Familiarity with Navy Missile Defense Systems (CEC/Aegis, etc.)Familiarity with Army Missile Defense Systems (THAAD/PATRIOT/IBCS, etc.)Familiarity with Air Force Missile Defense Systems (GMD/UEWRs/ABAD, etc.)Expertise in RF/Overhead sensors/optics (EO/IR)/photonics/EW/EA/EP also a plusHaving or having eligibility for a TS/SCI Clearance.Security Clearance Requirement:
