Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Strategic and Coordination Support Specialist on a team delivering administrative, scientific, technical and logistical support to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI). Your team will stand up a new NIH DPCPSI Office of Research Innovation, Validation and Application (ORIVA). Responsibilities include providing comprehensive logistical, executive, and strategic support and coordination for staff to enable utilizing modeling methods such as computational approaches and New Approach Methodologies (NAMs).

Success requires proven experience in a dynamic, detail-oriented research environment and the ability to provide responsive, flexible support services. Work will be performed in the Durham, North Carolina area.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Be an integral part of a scientific team including researchers, data analysts, programmers, and technologistsProvide full logistical, administrative and technical support for events, including preparing agendas and materials, securing travel and lodging arrangements, coordinating registration and participation, and compiling meeting summaries, minutes, and reportsUpload materials to meeting websites and distributing documents to participantsSupport in-person, virtual, and hybrid meetings related to NAMs, including monthly calls, public forums, workgroup meetings, Scientific Advisory Committee, and national/international conferencesTrack member engagement and assist in drafting and finalizing deliverablesEnsure customer satisfaction by providing high quality deliverables and anticipating needsWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required:
BA/BS and 4+ years of professional experience providing comprehensive logistical support for meetings, executive support for leadership, and strategic support and coordination for staffExperience organizing and coordinating events and communicating with stakeholders and participants in a timely and professional mannerExcellent verbal and written communications skillsPreferred:
Experience in NAMs or a related scientific fieldBasic understanding of modeling methods for scientific researchPrevious experience with Health and Human Services (HHS) and/or NIHLocation: Onsite

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
