The integration and analysis of cross-pillar intelligence and data combined with unified collaboration among key stakeholders enables the Fusion Centre to develop a more accurate picture of threats and coordinate protective actions to mitigate threats, reduce losses and better enable our client’s ambitions to become a reality. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Fusion Intelligence, the Strategic Analyst, Fusion Intelligence is responsible for conducting intelligence activities that directly support the Fusion Centre’s strategic mandate. This includes the collection, aggregation and analysis of a wide variety of internal and external information sources and the production of high quality intelligence outputs which yield a holistic, strategic picture which supports decision making, enhances situational awareness and provides unity of effort to mitigate threats, reduce losses and protect our clients and the bank. This position will require flexibility in managing priorities to meet the demands and the overall objectives of the Fusion Centre. Fusion Intelligence Consultants will be required to effectively manage complex issues, as well as sometimes-fluid deadlines and priorities. This position will operate within a normal office environment; however, it will on occasion require working outside normal office days/hours, including rotational on-call and after hours / weekends duties. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most_ _optimal for you to thrive in your role._ _You’ll_ _have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where_ _you’ll_ _spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ **How You’ll Succeed** + **Intelligence Cycle Expertise:** Provide advice, consultation, and strategic analysis on intelligence issues and trends relating to fraud, corporate security, cybersecurity and Fusion; Collaboratively and independently conduct research to gather, validate and organize CIBC information; Assess the quality, relevance and validity of information gathered in relation to threats facing CIBC; Support complex investigations as an intelligence practitioner and subject matter expert in banking procedures, products and controls. + **Relationship Building:** Provide support to Fusion Centre Management, team members and peers as required; Collaborate with key stakeholders across pillars as part of a coordinated intelligence cycle, applying intelligence best practices and appropriate collection and analysis techniques. Occasional contact with external peers in the industry. + **Strategic Thinking Approach:** Complete in-depth analysis that captures key analytical insights and document findings in concise Fusion Intelligence products meeting intelligence-consumer needs; Detecting or identifying areas of interrelationships between disparate pieces of information and generating unique insights; Create, maintain, update and share Fusion Intelligence dashboard and products, as directed; + **Support to Key Stakeholders:** Support complex investigations as an intelligence practitioner and subject matter expert in banking procedures, products, and controls. Identify potential issues that pose risk to CIBC; take action and contribute to problem and event management to resolve as quickly and efficiently as possible; Undertake special projects with internal and external stakeholders, as assigned / required. **Who You Are** + **You can demonstrate experience in** Information security/cybersecurity, fraud or physical security (typically 3-5 years) or industry related experience and possess a university degree or college diploma. Practical knowledge of intelligence collection and analysis practices and CIBC’s internal policies, procedures and practices; Strong knowledge of CIBC Group of Companies and the ability to assess, measure and monitor risk within CIBC guidelines; Developed knowledge of Bank mainframe applications and Bank systems (e.g. COINS, COLT, CLASS, TSYS, ASI, PRM, PESA, ECIF, Service Commitment etc.); and developed working knowledge of database principles and applications, Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) sufficient to create sophisticated graphs, charts and reports; + **You can demonstrate** interactive skills sufficient to convey factual and conceptual information in circumstances requiring detailed interpretation; exceptional problem solving skills to creatively develop unique approaches and solutions that are necessary to address complex problems; Self-planning skills sufficient to schedule, organize and carry out work assignments according to established work plans, independently adjusting work schedules according to changing priorities; Ability to gather, synthesize, organize and interpret data or information and formulate appropriate conclusions and insights; + **You put our clients first.** You engage with purpose to find the right solutions.
