Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Stormwater Engineer reviews residential and commercial development plans involving transportation, stormwater, and utility infrastructure for compliance with applicable comprehensive plans, land development codes, ordinances, and public works standards. Evaluates master plans, preliminary plats, site plans, construction plans, and final plats. Assesses easement requests from the Property Management Department’s Property Acquisition Division. Coordinates with the Infrastructure Inspection Division regarding construction and certification processes. Collaborates with the local Health Department and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to ensure utility infrastructure meets all regulatory and design standards. Responds to citizen inquiries related to roadways, access, permitting, and utility extensions. Responsible for day-to-day coordination and overall satisfaction of the development community. This role primarily focuses on reviewing stormwater design, modeling, and drainage reports, as well as mass grading/drainage plans, general development plans, and construction documents. Participates in public hearings to address stormwater concerns and assists with pre-application meetings by providing review criteria, including site conditions, runoff reduction and treatment requirements, FEMA standards, and watershed studies.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related engineering field.
Current Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) License required. (Out-of-state P.E. licenses must be transferred to Florida within one (1) year of hire date).
If assigned to RTMC Traffic Signal Timing area of assignment, Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification desired.
Valid driver license required, with valid Florida driver license required within 30 days of hire.
Four (4) or more years of engineering experience related to area of assignment.
Prior experience as Engineer of Record desired. State and local government background null
