The Stores Supervisor will manage and control the mill stores function to ensure the Operations and Maintenance Departments have essential material and parts when needed. The Stores Supervisor will oversee the stores operations, delegate tasks and schedule personnel to meet varying workload based on mill needs. In addition, the Stores Supervisor will analyze turnover trends and take steps to avoid out of stock of critical items, have strong computer and organizational skills, and basic accounting skills and/or strong math skills.
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:
Supervise, schedule, and manage hourly storeroom personnel.
Work with Mill Operations and Maintenance to ensure optimal levels and accuracy of inventory needs.
Responsible for the implementation of additions/changes/deletions of storeroom items.
Tracking and reporting storeroom value.
Perform an annual review of slow moving/obsolete inventory in accordance with Key Control requirements.
Responsible for accuracy of inventory master records.
Complete annual inventory audits in accordance with the Key Control requirements.
Responsible for entering receipts into Trident system.
Ensure receipt and disbursement of materials are properly executed.
Review the daily re-order report for accuracy and procure inventory as needed.
Obtain RFQ’s and necessary documents for storeroom orders.
Track storeroom purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
Responsible for the oversite of direct material disbursement and tracking.
Identify potential cost reduction initiatives related to storeroom stock items.
Responsible to ensure effective and efficient storeroom operations.
Support Purchasing Manager and serve as a backup as needed.
Requirements
Minimum of two years’ experience in storeroom operation or previous supervisory position within a manufacturing facility.
Education
HS Required, Associate Degree preferred
