Job Summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen in our East Cowes facilities for a Stores Manager (Logistics Team Leader), who will be responsible for managing, operating, and controlling all physical flows within, and between, the two sites.
Reporting into the Logistics and Customs Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will lead a small, dedicated team, and process the effectiveness of internal logistics.
They will also ensure that the Warehouse Team execute activities within site, national and international regulations where applicable.
Job Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities will include:
Ensuring safe working environment; Leading, managing, and developing the team; Managing the workload of the area (internal movements, warehouse) and optimise the allocated resources; Defining and setting up the physical organisation of warehouses within sites; Being the interface between supply chain and production at shop floor level, ensuring material movement is in accordance with operational expectations; Developing and optimising all physical and information flows using Lean principles (including company owned external warehouses). Managing and controlling the transactional flow for all physical flows. Job Qualifications
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
Previous experience, and excellent knowledge of, warehouse and logistics operations within a busy manufacturing environment. Proven ability to lead and develop high performing teams
