Storeroom Manager

The Opportunity:

Smurfit Westrock Solvay Mill has an opportunity for a Storeroom Manager to join the team.  We are looking for someone who takes initiative as a team player with a process improvement mindset to assist in storeroom efficiency.  Our culture at Solvay is such that the ideal candidate in this role will also have a desire to understand every aspect of the mill for successful overall contribution and career growth with the mill.

How you will contribute:

* Oversee shipping and receiving of non-OCC materials.

* Maintain inventory accuracy including obsolescence tracking and replacement.

* Responsible for inventory reduction and improving working capital.

* Lead meetings, work with finance, maintenance, and production on inventory initiatives.

* Maintain supplier relationships.

* Optimize the storage space.

* Oversee the EPAM process to have the right parts in the right place at the right time for efficient maintenance and production activities.

* Direct management of the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, 2 Storeroom Coordinators, and a Materials Coordinator.

* On-call rotation for nights and weekends with inventory and procurement as needed (typically every 5 weeks).

 

What you need:

 

Essential Job Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED and minimum 2 years storeroom / inventory experience. 

* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team skills. 

* Ability to analyze data and generate reports. 

* Strong organization skills and detail oriented. 

* Excel skills including v-lookups, pivot tables, and formula creation for accurate data analysis. enter data Able to work overtime as required.

* Able to be on-call on nights and weekends typically every 5 weeks. 

* Ability to climb stairs and ladders, and lift 40 pounds unaided.

 

Preferred Job Requirements:

* MRO inventory experience.

* JD Edwards software experience.

* Shipping and receiving experience.

* Forklift certified

* Procurement experience preferred as you must have the ability to learn the procurement function as well as inventory for on-call duty.

* Vendor managed inventory and consignment experience preferred.

The salary range for this position is $65,250.00 - $108,750.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. The benefits for this role include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
