Store Planner (Hybrid)

The Store Planner works with their merchant, planning and store partners to drive strategic growth at the store level. They lead the store hindsighting process to identify region, cluster and store opportunities by vendor and classification to influence the assortment planning process. They partner with the GVP of planning to guide localization strategies across the company to enhance store level assortments. They drive critical store processes including new store openings, store closings, shop expansions, and seasonal review of vendor adds and edits by store. They identify macro level exception stores and guide allocation tool settings to globally react to positive and negative trends at the store level.

Leads the Store / Cluster Hindsighting ProcessRecap LY performance by cluster at levels predetermined by GVP through S5Recap localization performance through S5Guide framework for cluster recommendations (choice count, depth, fixture counts)Make strategic recommendations around door adds/editsDrive localization strategies across FOB. (Align with GVP/GMM to prioritize)Identifies store exceptions and partner with JDA Amin to execute settings to globally impact future allocationsStore liaison/gatekeeper for store requests and follow upMonitor store, tier, and/or cluster performance in season.  Provide analysis and strategic recommendations to improve in season store performanceLeads new store, remodel and closing processMakes brand matrix congruency recommendations across FOBsManages assortment in space constrained doors to align. 

In partnership with merchant make recommendations for assortment expansions / reductionsCollaborate with merchant, planning, and process partners to prioritize programs for delayed allocation and single unit hold and flow

Education / Experience Requirements:

Preferred Education & Experience:

4-6 years of inventory management and/or store analysis experience

Knowledge / Skills Requirements:

Experience in high volume, fast paced, big box/specialty retail environment or equivalent.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and interact collaboratively, working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and collaborate on best alternativesStrong analytical skills - ability to analyze and understand quantitative dataModerate technical skill proficiency (PC-based) using advanced functions in Excel and Access; demonstrated ability to learn and apply new software technology. Systems used: JDA Allocation, SAS, S5Ability to be a team player and to foster a commitment to teamwork among other associates.

Reporting Relationships:

Manages one direct report at Analyst level
