At UGL, we believe value is created by real teams where everyone plays a part. We’re currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Store Person to join our locomotive maintenance facility in Spotswood, VIC.

About the Role

As a Store Person, you’ll be an essential part of our warehouse operations, supporting the maintenance of rolling stock, wagons, and locomotives. Reporting to the Store Supervisor, you’ll work within a close-knit team of four on a permanent full-time basis, Monday to Friday, day shift only.

Our warehouse operates between 7:00am and 5:00pm, and team members rotate weekly to cover this 10-hour window — meaning your start and finish times will vary week to week.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and quality-check incoming goods from external vendorsSafely store parts across the main warehouse, sub-warehouse, and outdoor areasLoad and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing stockConduct stocktakes and cycle countsProcess inventory using SAP systemsMaintain accurate records in line with compliance standards

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings both experience and enthusiasm to the role:

LF Forklift Licence with hands-on experience operating counterbalance and high-reach forkliftsProven ability to load/unload trucks of various configurationsExperience with SAP inventory systems (preferred)Strong communication skills and the ability to work independentlyProficient in MS Word, Excel, and emailBackground in rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics, or other safety-critical industries is highly desirable
