SUMMARY
A Store Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining good customer service, oversees and is accountable for the operation of their store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, inventory control, expense control, human resources management and managing operating costs and shrink.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivers superior guest service and ensure absolute customer satisfactionAnalyzes and measures business trends; develops and implements plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.Reviews store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives.Is aware of competition activity and reports results: shares information with supervisor and makes appropriate recommendationsEnsures appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing and assortment in the departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.Quality assurance checks in all areas of the storeResponsible for company assets including receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control, and inventoryEnsures compliance with all laws, policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk through and audits, etc. Act as NFI's representative both within the store and within the community.Operates and uses all equipment necessary to run the store.Works varied hours/days to oversee store operations.Maintains the overall condition and safety of the facility and propertyMerchandise product to hit total store sales budget and profit margins.Implement processes to control labor and expenses.Develops effective daily/weekly work plan based on weekly sales projections and budgeted labor goalsMerchandise planning and execution that leads to a well merchandised storeMaintains stock levels and best practices throughout the storeActively recruits store team, including management candidates. 5 years experience in supermarket managementLANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
