While computing veers towards cognitive, cloud, mobile, social, and security, the lab has significantly contributed to not just new products focused in these areas, but has also ushered in new development models such as Agile, Design Thinking and DevOps. **Your role and responsibilities** We are seeking a highly skilled "Test Automation Engineer" with over 5 years of expertise in software product testing, test design, and support in enterprise software development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI test automation frameworks, with hands-on experience of test design and test automation. · Be part of the Software testing team for data protection application. · Understand the requirements and changes in the Release based on that · Create test plans, test scenarios, testcases, automate the testcases, fix the issues in existing automation. · Understand and run the existing test suites for releases. Identify the issues as Product/Infra. · Raising the defects. Collaborating with developers as well as Support teams **Required technical and professional expertise** · Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. · Extensive over 5 years of proven experience as a test automation engineer or similar role, including product testing and support. Exposure to other programming languages, test environments, and related diagnostic tools. · Design, develop and maintain test automation frameworks like pytest, Selenium webdriver, Cypress etc., · Write, execute and automated test scripts for web applications like ReactJS, Angular etc., · Testing skills(Manual/Automation/GUI) · Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/ GitHub Actions/Team city etc.,) · Work with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Product) to refine test strategies and requirements. · Programming knowledge of: Java/Python/Selenium · Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, DOM, DevTools) and debugging. · Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and backend integration. · Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB. · Familiarity with version control, defect tracking, and test management tools (GIT, Jenkins, JIRA). · Storage knowledge/Virtualization/Containerization/Cloud · Good understanding of Operating systems like Unix(RHEL/AIX/SLES)/Windows · Good to have skills about applications like Oracle, SQL, SAPHANA, Exchange and PFS · Worked in Agile method of software development · Have used GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, and Test management tools · Good verbal and written communication skills, team player, Self-driven, Quick learner, self-motivated and collaborative **Preferred technical and professional experience** · Knowledge of performance testing. · Familiarity with BDD practices, BDD frameworks(cucumber) and integration with tools like Jira Xray · Knowledge of Gherkin syntax for writing executable test specifications.
