Lenovo is seeking a skilled and driven Storage Content Developer to join our expanding Services Training, Tools, and IP Development team. In this role, you will create innovative technical content focused on helping Lenovo customers resolve issues independently and optimize their storage solutions. This includes developing customer self-help materials for a wide range of Lenovo products, such as ThinkSystem, ThinkServer, System X, Lenovo Storage, and networking solutions.
You will collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, and other technical content developers to deliver clear, effective, and customer-friendly content. The content you produce will be published on platforms like support.lenovo.com, and will assist customers in self-healing, troubleshooting, and maximizing their use of Lenovo’s storage and computing products.
This is a highly collaborative and fast-paced role, requiring technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to transform complex technical information into actionable content that meets customer needs. You will also have access to Lenovo’s extensive lab facilities, including hardware resources, production studios for video content development, and a range of software tools to help create diverse content formats.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, write, and edit technical content to assist Lenovo customers in troubleshooting and self-help scenarios, including online articles, troubleshooting guides, demonstrations, and videos.Work closely with product teams and engineers to gather technical information and present it in user-friendly formats, ensuring accuracy and clarity.Collaborate with marketing, training teams, and subject matter experts to create content that supports customer education, system configuration, and common issues.Contribute to the development of multimedia content such as videos and simulations that enhance user understanding of real-world scenarios.Maintain up-to-date content on the support website and ensure it aligns with product updates, feature releases, and emerging industry trends.Manage multiple content projects in a deadline-driven environment, tracking progress and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.Enhance content engagement by incorporating feedback from customers and internal teams.Use Lenovo’s lab facilities and software tools to create real-time product demonstrations and training content.Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of industry experience, or bachelor’s degree in technical communication, computer science, engineering, or a related field with 3+ years’ work.Advanced Level of English (Mandatory)Proven experience in technical writing or content development, preferably related to storage, IT, or enterprise systems.Strong understanding of storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, RAID, SSDs, cloud solutions) and their practical applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write for diverse audiences and translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.Experience in field or remote technical support, with customer-facing skills in troubleshooting and consulting.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.An understanding of the server/network operating systems, RAID, virtualization, systems management, and cloud environments.Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Lenovo storage solutions or similar enterprise storage products (NetApp, Nutanix).Proficiency with technical writing tools multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Kapwing, video recording/production tools).Experience with content management systems (CMS), interactive content development, and video production.Knowledge of systems management, virtualization technologies, and software-defined environments.Ability to travel up to 10% if necessary.*Additional Location: Monterrey, N.L
