STOCK MANAGER

Department: Retail

Reporting to: Store Manager

The Stock manager’s role is to maintain product and supply inventories to increase efficiency. He/she is responsible for training employees, scheduling employee shifts, receiving and sending shipments, updating records, and maintaining inventories.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Operations

Manage stock levels and made key decisions about stock controlEnsure that merchandise shipments have been received and displayed within the company's expectationsMaintain and organize stock roomMaintain an active presence on showroom floor and stock room to prevent stock shrinkageAssist Store Manager in creating, promoting and overseeing a profitable storeKeep selling floor and merchandise neat, organized and stockedManage all inventory in the stockroom and on the selling floorAssist in all areas of stock, shipping, receiving protocol/policies and all shipping/ receiving related paperworkReplenish stock on the sales floor as neededPack up defective items or overstock and arranges for the return shipmentObserve proper safety procedures in the stockroom, particularly when lifting and moving heavy itemsReport issues or problems to Store ManagerAssist managers and associates in preventing theft and maintaining proper inventoryComply with all Point-of-Sale policies and proceduresAttend store meetingsManage all relevant training and development seminars, programs and meetings as directed by store managementFacilitate loss prevention initiatives that reduces shrinkageMaintain solid partnership with store management and visual managerReview stock room space and create tools to maximize space in stock room and make merchandise easily accessible for stock and sales staff

Customer Service

Provide the highest level of customer serviceAnswer customer and sales associate questions about available items in stockRetrieve items from stockroom at customer requestPlace special orders for customers when necessaryBuild and maintain repeat clientele; utilize client bookResolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively, ensuring client satisfaction

Management

Lead a team of employees to consistently meet sales and service goalsHire, train and develop new employees based on changes in the store's volume and sales cyclesManage and motivate the team to increase sales and ensure efficiencyWork on staffing duties such as interviewing potential staff members, conduct appraisals and performance reviews, as well as provide or organize training and developmentUpdate colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issuesCreate stock employee schedules and ensure stock staff were always on duty to provide assistance on sales floor as needed

Job Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience of retail and luxury in a management roleAble to work as a charismatic leader, to drive and motivate people and willingness to develop talentExcellent personal organizational skills with attention of detail and accuracyIs familiar with inventory softwarePossesses physical strength necessary to unload, lift, and carry heavy boxesExhibits familiarity with proper safety procedures in the stockroomAble to work under pressure and to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environmentAble to work on different tasks easily – Multi-tasking
