The Hilton Toronto is seeking a full\-time Stewards Helper to carry out general cleaning duties and the operation of dishware machinery to deliver an excellent guest and team member experience, Reporting to the Chief Steward, this existing position is responsible for ensuring all heart\-of\-house areas are kept clean while observing occupational health and safety guidelines are followed\. **What will you be doing?** The key responsibilities you would own to the highest standards are: + Operate pot\-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with regulations and company standards + Carry out general cleaning as directed including sweeping, mopping up, washing up, and emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers + Maintain cleanliness of Food and Beverage areas + Ensure all equipment is in full working order and report any defects + Manage the mis\-en\-place relating to Food & Beverage functions and special menus in a timely manner + Ensure that all kitchen and back of house areas are kept clean and all equipment within the kitchen area is cleaned in accordance with the cleaning schedule + Report any maintenance and, or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty + Ensure the correct PPE is in place and guidelines are closely followed + Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Hotel's Management **What are we lookingfor?** A Stewards Helper serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members\.
