Sterilization Technician
Job Description + Receiving, sorting, cleaning and decontaminating soiled reusable instruments, equipment and materials following manufacturer’s instructions. + Manually recording items/materials received in department logs. + Loading, operating, and emptying cleaning and decontamination equipment such as automatic washers, endoscope preprocessors, cart washer and pasteurizers + Inspecting, preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and other materials. + Assembling trays and packets of instruments, medical supplies for surgical procedures according to standardized content lists and manufacturers guidelines. + Loading and operating sterilizers, programming settings and monitors temperature and other critical readings during run cycle. + Other duties as assigned. To qualify, you must have: + Certification of Sterile/Central Processing + A high school degree or GED equivalent is required + Minimum of 1 years’ experience within Sterile Processing is strongly preferred. + A strong knowledge of instrumentation and power surgical instruments + Strong customer service and communication skills to develop working relationships with staff + Strong problem solving skills + The ability to work independently and as a team player + Flexibility and the willingness to change assignments due to department needs Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
