* Hours for this position are 10PM- 6:30AM Mon-Fri*Responsibilities and Essential Job FunctionsDecontaminates, assembles and sterilizes instrumentation according to national guidelines and internal standards. Operates departmental equipment within appropriate guidelines/policies/procedures. Demonstrates high levels of quality control by following departmental policies/procedures and thorough documentation of sterilization process. Effectively prioritizes and communicates customer needs within the department and with customers. Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Understands and identifies instrumentation and equipment utilized in all customer areas. Performs other assigned duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager related to Sterile Processing. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Graduate Sterile Processing Technician or Surgical Technologist experience or current enrollment or completion of a Sterile Processing Certification program
Preferred Education and Experience1 or more years experience as Sterile Processing Technician
Required Licensure and CertificationCertified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) (DO NOT USE) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) within 1 Year
Preferred Licensure and CertificationCertified Registered Central Service Technician(CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) upon Hire
