Unlock your potential! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Central Sterile Technician is responsible fordecontamination of instruments, sterilization protocols andassembly ofsurgical instrument sets. He/she consistently adheres to proper sterilization procedures and aseptic technique. Your responsibilities will include: + Receives, cleans, processes, assemblesand distributemedical supplies, equipment and surgical instruments + Prepares, assembles and packages all medical equipment and instruments for surgery and other hospital departments + Sterilizes all reusable equipment, supplies and instrumentation + Maintains and operates Central Sterile equipment + Handles, transports and stores sterile equipment, instruments and supplies + Helps direct the workflow in Central Sterile Supply + Demonstrates department specific skills and competencies, including high-risk, low-volume and problem-pronecompetencies + Attendance: works as scheduled and is compliant with Attendance and Tardiness Policy **What qualifications you will need:** Physical Requirements: + Lifting, pushing and pulling greater than50lbsfrequently,carryinggreater than20lbsfrequently + Positional tasks may include frequent/prolonged walking, standing with occasional kneeling,bending,crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing and stooping + Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Depth perceptionand ability to identify colors. Corrected hearing and vision to within functional ranges.
