Job Summary Sterile Processing Technician Location: Clemmons Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC Department: Sterile Processing Schedule: Part-Time, Day shift 6:45am to 3:15pm – 3 days a week Monday through Friday - days may rotate. No weekends No holidays Our Sterile Processing Department is a critical unit responsible for the lifecycle management of medical instruments and equipment for 3 operating rooms at Clemmons Medical Center. This will include cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing these items. The Sterile Processing Department ensures that instruments and equipment are available, properly maintained, and ready for immediate use, ultimately supporting patient care. Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Sterile processing tech certification, preferred. Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays.
