Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician with expertise in scope processing using Medivator AER and Olympus OER. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of our surgical procedures through meticulous handling and sterilization of instruments and equipment.

ResponsibilitiesPerform sterile processing duties as directed by lead technicians.Reprocess and assemble specialized instruments and equipment.Wash, prepare, and sterilize trays and instruments following designated procedures.Maintain high performance of instruments during surgical procedures by inspecting and testing their functionality.Lubricate items according to cleaning and instrument preparation instructions.Document required information and maintain necessary records.Set up case carts for surgical procedures and ensure correct inventory.Restock equipment and supplies as needed.Assist in the preparation of equipment, instruments, and supplies.Operate and troubleshoot equipment used for job functions; seek assistance when necessary.Report hazardous conditions, malfunctioning equipment, accidents, or incidents to the immediate supervisor.Participate in performance improvement activities and meetings.Engage in training, educational activities, and staff meetings.Assist with the orientation and training of other personnel.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Central Service Technician Certification.5 years of experience in sterile processing.Expertise in scope processing.Decontamination experience is a must.Proficiency in sterilization and sterile processing.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsComputer literacy.Good penmanship and organizational skills.Knowledge of cardiovascular instruments and equipment.Work Environment

The role operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential for weekend overtime. You will work closely with a diverse team of 15 people from both shifts, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
