High school (age 16+) and college students can take their first step in a surgical services career as a Sterile Processing Intern.
As an intern, you will assist in the sterile processing department by preparing surgical instruments and supplies for patients under the supervision of a sterile processing technician.
You will prepare reusable supplies and instruments in the correct amounts and layout to meet medical and surgical needs. This role will require you to wrap supplies according to technical specifications to maintain sterility during handling and throughout shelf life.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Must be in good standing in their program which refers to a student that has passed required courses, has achieved required GPA, has registered for required courses, and meets clinical attendance requirements. Skills: Ability to pass competencies of the position according to the job description, evaluation, and department policies Certification: Required within 18 months of hire
