We are looking for a dedicated Sterile Processing Manager like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Sterile Processing Manager assists center level central sterile teams to achieve both operational and quality goals, manages excellence and quality in these areas, and supports center leadership in meeting strategic and operational objectives for SPD/HLD. This comprehensive oversight supports optimal high-quality, safe patient care and operational efficiency. In addition, the Manager ensures SPD and HLD procedures and programs comply with all applicable accreditation, regulatory and licensure standards and develops/implements initiatives and improvement strategies. **What you will do in this role:** + Develops and implements programs, initiatives, and improvement strategies to ensure consistency in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and other governmental requirements. Assists to mitigate risks through assistance/guidance to center leadership with identifying, prioritizing, evaluating, monitoring and implementation. + Recommends and manages modifications to established policies and procedures, objectives, quality, safety, environmental and infection prevention standards as applicable to SPD and HLD. Represents the Continental Market as part of the Northwest Region. + Utilizes instrument tracking system to effectively manage the flow of work within the department, evaluate employees, and track inventory data. Ensures all SPD / HLD colleagues across the division utilize standardized tracking systems as well. + Presents applicable and relevant sterile processing information and data to senior leadership, physicians, clinicians, and staff in timely and efficient manner. Proactively works with personnel including surgeons, quality and regulatory teams, center leadership, Infection Control Nurses, and clinical staff to improve processes and workflow related to SPD and HLD. + Provides on-going and effective communication with physicians, hospital/clinic department management, staff and vendor representatives. Represents SPD and HLD colleagues by attending appropriate department meetings. + In conjunction with center leadership as well as other leaders, manages the overall SPD and HLD process including determining resource needs, allocation resources and ensuring proper utilization in productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness of operations. + Assists in developing staff, including providing input to center leadership related to SPD/HLD colleague evaluations, establishing competencies, and providing ongoing education in collaboration with market leadership. + Maintains continued education and proficiency in the field of sterile processing and high level disinfection operations and equipment through education and literature. Serves as a technical expert regarding product reprocessing, decontamination, and sterilization for the centers. Demonstrates correct processes and procedures to staff. + Collaborates with SPD and HLD colleagues to review their daily OR schedule to ensure instrument availability, coordinate vendor instrumentation, and plan needed turnovers to complete the schedule without delay. **Qualifications you will need:** + Graduate of Sterile Processing program + Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program (required in some states) + 3+ years applicable sterile processing experience required + Leadership experience in a supervisory or manager role preferred + Ambulatory surgery experience preferred Consider a fulfilling and secure career with Surgery Ventures, in partnership with HCA Healthcare.
