Sterile Processing Coordinator

As our Sterile processing coordinator youat the CHI Vintage Hospital, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiative and Dignity Health, you’ll establishes and enforce standards of instrument processing activities, sterilization of surgical supplies. 

Establish and maintain an efficient system for processing of surgical instruments and restocking of surgical supplies
through the development of department policies and procedures that ensure adequate and proper quantities of
reprocessed supplies and equipment to meet patient care demandsAnalyze daily surgery schedule and preference list to prioritize department workload and avoid potential shortages
of instruments and setsManages the department quality control and quality improvement programsCoordinates annual and ongoing education of staff, identifies needed training and Develops appropriate plans to
meet the needsProvides monthly reports to the manager as required; Provides data for planning, decision‐making, improving
productivity and problem resolution including development of capital budgetResponsible for working with vendors and purchasing to obtain purchase orders when appropriate for repair or
replacement of surgical instruments, supplies and equipment; monitors status of purchase orders
Qualifications
Associate’s DegreeGED equivalent and an additional 5 years of related
experience can substitute for the Associate’s DegreeCRST or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service
Technician)Three (3) years of CSPD experience or related instrument
